SERVER INFO
Hello! This will soon be populated with info about the Graal Reborn server im working on, if it ever manifests.
DOWNLOAD / REFRENCES
Graal Version 2.171, 2.22, and 2.31 clients. (GRAAL REBORN PATCHED)
Graal Reborn Account Creation
GServerV2 Emulator (Graal Server Hosting)
RC3 (Server Remote Control, used for admin/config editing. GRAAL REBORN PATCHED)
Graal Reborn Discord Server (Good place to be able to play/learn more.)
HOW TO SETUP GRAAL REBORN AND PLAY
- Download the Graal client version 2.22 (included above in the downloads section.) This is the version that the server requires to run. No other version will work with this server.
- Go to the Graal Reborn Account Creation site to create your account, which is required. As the page itself states: DO NOT LOSE THIS INFO! There is currently no password recovery, or any way to change your password after the fact.
- Extract the contents of the clients zip into its own folder. Then, run "Graal_222.exe".
- Once you arive at this screen:
Input your credentials for the account you created on the Graal Reborn website. Make sure you also change your nickname! Or else you will not have a correct display name, since it does not use your account name by default. Once done, click "Start". -
The next screen should look like this:
The list on the left shows the servers that are currently being public listed on the game's listserver. Clicking the name on this list will display more information about said server. The dropbox below the server list allows you to type a servers name to join the server directly. This works if you dont click on any name in the server list, and is useful for testing servers privately. Most of the buttons on the bottom other than "Connect" are superfluous and bearly work (since all they do is redirect to the GraalReborn fourm instead of the original Graal site). -
If you followed all of these steps and nothing managed to go wrong inbetween all of these, congratulations!
You have logged into a server and can play the game!!
I wont go over the controls here, since they tell you in the game's "readme.txt" file, but i'll share the most important one here... By pressing F1, it opens the games Help diologue. This shows a list of 6 buttons: General Options, Edit Level, Load Level, Debugger, Player List and Server List. Edit, Load and Debug dont work while your connected to a server*. General Settings allow modification of game volume and control binds. Player List shows a very detailed window of all players connected, and allows you to edit a small bio that can be viewed by others who play with you. Server List displays the previous screen as a seprate window. It wont disconnect you out of your current server until you connect to a new one, so it can be closed.
*these commands might be able to be run while in "offline mode", which can be accessed with the "Trainning" button on the start screen of the aplication. Some of these might be accessable if you happen to be server staff, but this is untested.
